President's report Dr. Marrack thanks especially Drs. Dent and Kincade for their help concerning the completion of the Constitution and Bylaws of IUIS. 4. Secretary General's report Dr. Daha's report summarizes the activities of the IUIS central secretariat and business that concluded in the last 3 years. He mentions that the central secretariat of IUIS in Vienna, under the leadership of Sylvia Trittinger, functions very well and that all files and information about IUIS can now be found centrally. The Archives are held at a University in the USA and taken care of by Prof. Henry Metzger. The website of IUIS is functioning well. The IUIS central secretariat is giving more and more a "face" to IUIS. Other members of the ExCo and Council are also excited about the way business is conducted by our central office and Fritz Melchers is especially delighted about the fact that there is now a "memory" of IUIS. 5. Treasurer's report Dr. Smolen describes the state of income and expenses of IUIS in the budget year 2003. There is about $ 30,000 more income than budgeted originally. This is due to the income from a backlog in dues from earlier years that was paid in 2003. The standing committees and federations have received the budgeted amounts. The costs by the Executive Board and central office were lower than the budget. In the working account, there is now about $ 64.000, while there is an "iron reserve" parked at Merryl Lynch of about $ 300,000. Overall, there is some room in the operating budget that can be used when well-defined projects by committees and federations are submitted. A discussion then follows on what type of items
