We were delighted to see the Hungarian representative at our las t Council meeting and hope that we shall soon have Hungary on the Council of the Internaitonal Union of Immunological Soc i eties . For this purpose , however, we must have an independent Hungarian Society for Immunology, s ince we have es tablished the policy of dealing only wi th s uch Societies . I need not stress that National Societies can have very close relations with other National Societies so that the constitutional change is all that is needed to r egularize the relation ben~een the Hungarian National Society and the International Union .
