Pulled from the University Archives holdings, the University Photographs provide a visual history of UMBC. The photographs date to the school's original construction in 1965 and highlight the development and construction of the campus, university events, and student life.
Photographs have been donated to the University Archives by the student newspaper, Institutional Advancement, and staff, students, and alumni. Currently, the photographs are predominantly unprocessed and in their original order. A small percentage of the photographs have been digitized; to search all photographs, please use the Special Collections Search. All photographs, including prints, negatives, and slides, can be viewed in the Special Collections reading room or scanned on request per our Rights & Reproductions policy.
