Council: Cao Xuetao, Carneiro Margarida, Dieye Alioune, Erdei Anna, Frelinger Jeffrey, Koyasu Shigeo, Lopes Daniel, Mantovani Alberto, Ratcliffe Michael, Ronchese Franca, Rudd Chris, Schmidt Reinhold, van Lier René. Committee Chairs: Boumsell Laurence (Nomenclature), Hein Wayne (VIC), Nonoyama Shigeaki (PID), Valenta Rudolf (Stadardization). Regional Federations: Aguilar Olano José (ALAI), Sautes-Fridman Catherine (EFIS) International Affiliates: Hafler David (FOCIS), Szekeres-Bartho Julia (ISIR). Daha Mohamed, Newkirk Marianna, Gerlinde Jahn (IUIS central office). 1. Welcome and arrangement of the new council Stefan Kaufmann, the newly elected President of IUIS, welcomes all members of the new IUIS Council. The agenda for the meeting is accepted as proposed. 2. Finances: budget for the year 2011 The Treasurer, Nicholas King, describes proposed changes to the IUIS 2011 budget. Also, 10,000 USD for website and logo. These involved an expected income of about 150,000 USD from the Kobe meeting (50,000 USD/each forthcoming year until 2013) and revises expenses for the President (from 3,500 USD to 6,000 USD), General Secretary (from 5,000 USD to 10,000 USD), and Treasurer (from 3,500 USD to 6,000 USD). 10,000 USD are reserved for a new Career Committee (see next point). The final sum of the budget is 331,000 USD. After discussion the Council unanimously accepted the proposed new budget. 3. New committee, and chairpersons for committees: a. Clinical Immunology Committee - CIC There are two candidates to succeed Sergio Romagnani: Moncef Zouali, France, and Reinhold Schmidt, Germany. Both candidates received support. After discussion, Reinhold Schmidt was elected new chairman of CIC, and Moncef Zouali proposed as vice-chairman (final decision by chair). The vice-chairman can represent the committee in case the chairman is not able to attend. b. Nomenclature Committee: Pablo Engel, Spain, is elected chairman of the committee to succeed Laurence Boumsell.
