Boston , Mass..Charles Ponzi's last hopes of blocking deportation to Italy [?].as his $9,000,000 bubble of 1920 . Governor Ely denied his petition for a full pardon , on which the wizard of illegal finance based his hopes of being permitted to remain in the country . The final hearing today , [?] 12th , before Governor Ely was dramtized by Ponzi's own eloquent plea and the tears of his wife , Rose Ponzi who accompanied him. After the hearing they parted and Ponzie started for the immigration station at East Boston where he is here shown surrendering to immigration commissioner Harry Ward . Before being locked in a cell to await deportation .
